Yanda Faye “Sue” Stevens, 63, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, in Katy.
Sue was born August 15, 1957 in Ville Platte, Louisiana, and has been a resident of Baytown for the past 44 years. She was a graduate of Mamou High School, a caterer by trade, and member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Sue also enjoyed preaching and teaching the gospel, reading the bible, attending the Kingdom Hall, cooking, and shopping.
Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her father: Murphy Allison, mother: Madeline Stevens August, and brother: Daniel Slaughter. She is survived by her children: LaShonda Narcisse and husband Wille, Latasha Markham and husband Robert “Pete”, Albert Stevens and wife Janne, and Kevin Newberry, siblings: Linda Stevens Sam, Manuel August, and Loston Slaughter, aunt: Lou Ann Stevens, grandchildren: Tre’Von Warren, Devonte Warren, Pryncess Narcisse, Landon Meuchel, Sasha Meuchel, Christina Angel, and Isaac Stevens, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
