Wilson Black, 90, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at his residence.
Wilson was born January 1, 1931 in Kirbyville, Texas, to parents; Louis Wilson Black and May Lamb, and has been a resident of Baytown since 1986. He attended Franklin High School, was a veteran of the US Army with service during Korea, a retired maintenance foreman for Exxon, and member of the Exxon Retiree Club. Wilson also enjoyed wood working, hunting, and fishing.
Mr. Black was preceded in death by his father: Louis Wilson Black, mother: May Lamb Harris, mother of his children: Billie Marie Black, his second wife: Elaine Dykes Black, daughter-in-law: Debbie Black, stepdaughter: Margaret Vail, brothers: Rob, Jack, and Gene, and sister: Ruth. He is survived by his son: Tim Black, daughter: Susan McAdam and husband Charles, granddaughter: Billie, step-grandchildren: Angelia Vail Worzel (Greg), Julie Vail Kilgore (Billy), Michael Vail (Amanda Kay), Dean Jones (Karisa) great-grandchildren: Avery Lynn, Riley Ray, Alexander Worzel, Lauren Worzel, Presley Kilgore, Margo Kilgore, Christopher Vail, William Vail, Ryan, Tyson and Mason and Grayci Jones and special friend JoAnn Moody and her entire family along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honorary Pallbearers: Alexander Worzel, Dean Jones, Nathan Thomas, Anthony Ortega, Paul Pyle and Nicky Dunlap.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, at the Memorial Baptist Church in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Memorial Baptist Church at 600 W Sterling St, Baytown, TX 77520. Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana.
