3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I pray above all things that you may prosper and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
Velma (Harvey) Heller, 87, of Baytown, passed away on February 12, 2020. Mrs. Heller was born to Roy F. and Minnie Ola (Reeves) Harvey on December 1, 1932 in Pelly (Baytown), Texas. On March 16, 1957, she married Louis William Heller in Moscow, Texas. She was an extraordinary bookkeeper for much of her life, working in hospitals, in attorney’s offices, for large equipment construction companies, and for almost a decade as a joint-owner of Conley-Heller Bookkeeping and Tax Services in Baytown. She was a member of Victory Temple Church in Baytown for over fifty years, serving in various capacities. She loved camping, reading, working on puzzles, and had a sharp wit and an incredible sense of humor. However, her greatest quality was her utter and complete devotion to her family, whom she loved more than these weak words can say.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in 2017. She is survived by their son, Roy L. Heller, and daughter-in-law, Amy Groves Heller, of Dallas, and grandchildren, Noah J. Heller, of New York City, and Anne R. Heller, of Dallas.
