William Pinkney Sexton, 87, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, in Pasadena.
William was born January 5, 1931 in Rusk, to parents; Elmer Carl and Ola Myrtle Dickson Sexton. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was also a heavy equipment operator for his entire life then he retired from Rightway Sand. William was a member of Garth Road Baptist Church and thoughly enjoyed driving the kids on the church bus. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren with their sporting activities, mowing, fishing, gardening, and collecting hammers.
Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by his parents; son; William P. Sexton, Jr. “Jr.”; grandson, Jonathan Sexton; great-grandson, Nolan Bilnoski; sisters, Betty Markinka and husband, Edwin, Brenda Toney and husband, Wilburn; brothers-in-law, Tommy Cole, and Jim Shirley. He is survived by his wife of 64 years; Etta J. Winningham Sexton, daughter; Darlene Fehring and husband Bobby, son; William Leon Sexton and wife Cherrie, sisters; Cassie Shirley and Rosemary Cole, brother; Elmer Sexton and wife, Velda; grandchildren; Robert Fehring, Shanacey Knight, Heather Butler, Meagan Burleigh, Kathryn Scott, Danielle Sexton, and Mark Sexton, great-grandchildren; Jayden, Connor, and Lincoln Knight, Kaylee, Justin and Tyler Butler, Kaydence Wheeler, Kort Burleigh, Gavin and Cody Scott, and Garrett Bilnoski, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, at the Garth Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Garth Road Baptist Church with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
