Veronica Thomas

Veronica “Vero” Thomas, age 86, surrounded by family, received her heavenly wings on January 24, 2019.  She was born on May 9, 1932, in Pomme Rose, Grenada, West Indies to the late Julian and Veronica Hall.

She was the caring wife of Cosford Thomas for 61 years and loving mother of four children; Kenny (Cecilia) Thomas, Christine “Jenny” Blades, Junior (Christabelle) Thomas, and Allyson Thomas and five Christ-given children; Carletha Clarke, Sylvia Henry, Daffodil Samuel, Emrick Panchoo, and Holly Barnwell. Mrs. Thomas was blessed with seven grandchildren; Shalanna Blades, Kennisha Banks, Anthony Carr, Maegan Thomas, Keya Thomas, Shantel Thomas, and Kentonie “KC” Thomas; and three great-grandchildren; Aniyah Carr, Anthony Carr, Jr., and Kaleb Thomas-Gale. She is survived by her siblings Cuthbert Hall, Martin Hall, Benedict Hall, all of Pomme Rose, Grenada, West Indies; William Hall of Gasparillo, Trinidad, Cecilia Hall of Toronto, Canada; Bernadette Hall and Esther (Dermont) Charles of Pomme Rose, Grenada, West Indies and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Veronica Thomas is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Madona Hall.

Mrs. Thomas believed in the unity of family and inspired others to commit living a life of love. One of the many things she took pride in was being mommy, mom, and grandma to many. May the torch of her life continue to burn through the spirits of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
