Sue Carol Hendrickson

Sue Carol Shalley Hendrickson, 84, of Baytown, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 10, 2019. Sue was born on July 20, 1934 in Mishawaka, Indiana to parents Thomas H. Shalley and Marin L. Miller.

Sue was a truly crafty person. She could quilt, make eccentric crafts, embroidered tapestries, and paint beautiful paintings. She found peace in her garden and loved all the beauties of the flowers God created for us to enjoy. She was also a brilliant cook, and like all the best cooks she didn’t have recipes written, they came from her heart. From her homemade Chicken & Noodles, spaghetti and lasagna, to her jams, she was a phenomenal cook. She was caregiver to her family and loved to cook and cater for them. Sue worked for many years and a Credit manager in the construction industry. She was also a member of Celebration of Life Church. She may be gone from this life but now she is whole again, and with her Heavenly Father for evermore.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Lloyd A. Schoof; husband of 49 years Marvin Hendrickson, Sr.; sons, Marvin Hendrickson, Jr. and Leonard Hendrickson; siblings, Thomas, Mona, and Barbara. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Pope and husband, Spike; grandchildren, Marty and wife, Dorothy, Jeremy and wife, Katie, Alan and wife, Angie; Ryan, Leslie, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Asher, Aiden, Tierney, Hayden, Mykala, Koryn, and Jayden; special friends, Lilly Littlefield, and Cynthia Harkness.
