Sim Anthony Pierre

Sim Anthony Pierre, age 47, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 2nd., 2019 at his residence in Baytown Texas. 

Better known to his loved ones as Shorn or Anthony, was born on March 28, 1972, in Mamma Cannes, St. Andrews Grenada to Glenroy Anthony Jones and Monica Nelson Jones.  At the age of 15, Shorn and his sisters migrated to the United States making their home in Baytown Texas.  He was a 1992 graduate of REL High School in Baytown Texas and a 1996 graduate of Lee College.  He was currently completing his BS in Computer Science from South University graduating in fall 2020.

Shorn went on to work for McDonald’s, Goose Creek CISD, KBR Bagram Afghanistan and Walmart Distributors.  Shorn enjoyed the simplest things in life; flying kite, music, fishing, gardening, watching family feud and the food network, playing soccer and most of all cooking and spending time with his family.

Shorn was preceded in death by his father, Glenroy Jones; grandparents; Harold and Eleanore Pierre and Fred and Faith Jones; great grandfather, John Pierre; Aunts, Theresa Jones, Millescent Pierre and Ethel Pierre; Uncle, Cecil Colville and cousin, Celeste Edwards.

Those left to cherish his memory is his fiancé, Pauline Cedeno; children, Shariah Pierre, and Simeon A. Pierre, Jr.; mother, Monica Nelson Jones; sisters, Wendy Pierre, Relisiere Bobb and husband, Dwayne, and Yoaion Nelson; Aunts, Iris Pierre, Joyclyn Pierre, Jean Pierre, and Lucy Bridgett Fletcher and husband, Denzel; uncles, Davis Pierre and wife Monica, Edward ‘Eddie’ Pierre; niece, Salandra Pierre; nephew, Michael Pierre; great niece, Brielle Pierre; great nephew, Adian Pierre; as well as many, many other family, friends.

The family will welcome friends for a visitation from 5 to 7 PM on December 13, 2019 at Crespo and Jirrels funeral home. The celebration of Sim’s life will be on December 14, 2019 at 10 AM in the chapel of Crespo and Jirrels. His interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Cedarcrest cemetery. The repass will be in the Family Center of Crespo and Jirrel’s funeral home following the burial.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
