Shirley Mary (Domangue) Jenkins

Shirley Mary Domangue Jenkins, 98, of Baytown, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, in Baytown.

Shirley was born December 31, 1924 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to parents; Eanus J. and Mary Reynolds Domangue, and has resided in Baytown since 1942.  She was a graduate of New Orleans Catholic School and Business College.  Shirley held membership in many organizations including; Ladies of St. John, the Deanery, and Keenagers.  Through her work experience, she aided in the war effort of WW II working at the rubber plant for Humble Oil, switchboard operator for San Jacinto Hospital, and payroll secretary for Sears.  Shirley also enjoyed reading, greeting others, and her church activities.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents, husband:  Ralph N. Jenkins, Sr., son:  Ralph N. Jenkins, Jr., and sisters:  Joyce Bourgeois and Melanie Aupied.  She is survived by her daughters:  Melinda Barrow and husband Wendell and Marilyn Carlisle and husband Boyce, grandchildren:  David Barrow and wife Candace, Jennifer Kovalcik and husband Steven, and Jason Carlisle and wife Becky, great-grandchildren:  Jadzia Shepherd and husband Richard, Fathom Barrow, Drake Barrow, Stevie Ray Kovalcik, Luke Kovalcik, Berkley Carlisle, and Conley Carlisle, numerous other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., Friday with rosary services at 10:30 a.m., and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2023, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with interment following at Memory gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
