Shirley Ann Edwards Holder, 76, of Baytown, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, at her residence.
Shirley was born June 9, 1942 in Lufkin, to parents; Cleve, Sr. and Willie Plummer Edwards, and has resided in the Mont Belvieu/Baytown area since the early ‘70s. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a former member of the Maranatha Church, Mont Belvieu where she was involved with visitations and greeting, and a current member of Highpoint Church, Friendswood. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family, and being involved in church activities.
Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her father: Cleve Edwards, Sr., mother: Willie Plummer Willis, husband: James “Jim” Holder, brothers: Cleve “Junior” Edwards, Jr., Jackie Edwards, Johnny Edwards, and Allen Edwards, and sister: Mary Lee Fennel. She is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Henry and husband Brent and Renea Clark and husband Forrest, brothers: Carl Edwards, Mike Edwards, Pat Edwards, and Allen “Skip” Edwards, Jr., sister: Bobbie Cross, grandchildren: Sarah Clark, Courtney Clark, Adam Henry, and Allie Henry, great-grandchild: Daniel Clark, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel in Baytown with services concluding thereafter.
