Sheila Zita 'Nunes' Sucre

Sheila Zita ‘Nunes’ Sucre, 96, of Humble, passed away in Humble on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Sheila was born October 1, 1926 in Georgetown, British Guiana, to parents; Rufino and Adelaide Nunes. A former resident of Baytown, she has resided in Humble for the past fifteen years. She was a homemaker who volunteered with the Lions and YWCA through her Keep Fit Class and time with the Board of Directors.  Mrs. Sucre also enjoyed lawn tennis, gardening, reading, and floral arranging.

Mrs. Sucre was preceded in death by her parents, husband:  Ralph H. “Sonny” Sucre, sons:  Brian Sucre and Andre Sucre, and all of her siblings.  She is survived by her children:  Ricardo Sucre, Anita Ng-A-Mann, Don Sucre, Luana Ramnauth and Sherry Clarke; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with funeral liturgy at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
