Sarah Elizabeth Kilgore Miller of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021.
Sarah was born in Plain Dealing, Louisiana on January 24, 1935 to parents Raiford and Myrtice Kilgore.
As a child she was usually referred to as Beth or Becky. When she moved to Texas in 1965, everyone knew her as Sarah. She lived in Baytown, Texas for close to 50 years. Recently she had resided at The Arbor Assisted Living in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Sarah earned her Bachelors degree in Education at Louisiana Polytechnic Institute and later added a Masters degree. She taught 4th and 5th grade in the Goose Creek school district for 38 years. She enjoyed many movies, lunches and out of town getaways with close friends while living in Baytown.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Raiford Briscoe Kilgore and Myrtice Myrtle Matlock Kilgore, her husband, James Andrew Miller, Sr., sisters, Helen Frye and Bernice Decker, and many special friends.
Sarah is survived by her brother Robert Wells, daughter Jami and son-in-law Ferris Platt, son James and daughter-in-law Nicole Miller, granddaughter Carla and her husband Richie Ahuja, grandson Chris and his wife Elizabeth Blakey, and great-granddaughter Gwendolyn Blakey.

Services will be held at Crespo Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas on Friday, September 24th at 2pm. Burial will follow at Cedar Crest Cemetery.
