Ruben Catalan Barrera

Ruben Catalan, 54 of Channelview, Texas passed away suddenly on August 21, 2020. Born in San Bartolo, Guerrero in Mexico. Ruben Catalan moved to Channelview, Texas in early 1990s.

He worked and enjoyed raising animals, cutting trees, going to jaripeos, roping, and riding his horse with his friends on his free time. Ruben, will be missed for his sense of humor, smile and love for his fellow man. He was always willing to help those less fortunate. He was a loving excellent husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His perseverance to become successful through hard work and dedication is an inspiration to all who knew him.

Ruben is survived by his wife Diana, and daughter Daisy. He is also survived by his siblings, nephews, and nieces, and host of many friends.

Visitation will be on Friday September 4, 2020 at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral home in Baytown from 5pm-8pm. Graveside services will be on Saturday September 5, 2020 at Palms Memorial Park beginning at 2pm.
