Roland Rodriquez

Roland “Road Dawg” Rodriquez, 52, of Channelview, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at his residence.

Roland was born January 10, 1969 in Houston, to parents; Rudolfo and Amparo Saenz Rodriquez, and has been a lifelong resident of Channelview.  The oldest of three boys, graduated Channelview High School in the class of 1988, worked for Goodman where he began his career as an air conditioning technician, then G&W A/C for more than 10 years, and was currently with Channelview ISD maintenance department.  Roland was a huge sports fan and especially loved the Astros.  He loved 70s and 80s music, BBQs, fishing, his Chevy truck, and popping open a cold one with family and friends.  Roland cherished spending time with his grandsons and will be remembered as a kind, caring, and very much an old soul.

Mr. Rodriquez was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Ray Saenz, and Gilbert and Antonia Rodriquez.  He is survived by his children:  Ashlee Rodriquez and husband Chris Johnson, Crystal Rodriquez, and Cassie Rodriquez, parents:  Rudolfo and Amparo Saenz Rodriquez, grandmother:  Bertha Saenz, siblings:  Rudy Rodriquez, Jr. and Ryan Rodriquez and wife Casie, grandchildren:  Kalis Rodriquez, Chip Grega, Caleb Johnson, and Liam Johnson, and leaves behind a host of nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, other loved ones, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with funeral rites beginning at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
