Robert Allen Smith

Robert Allen Smith, 87, of Highlands, passed away Wednesday, May 12,2021, in Baytown.

Robert was born September 2, 1933 in Houston, to parents; Ned Nepalean and Agnes Maud Dewberry Smith, a former resident of Corrigan, and has resided in Highlands for the past 45 years.  He was a graduate of Corrigan High School, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, and owned and operated Smith Barrow Gardens.  Robert also enjoyed fishing, nature, and his work.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 60 years:  Bernice “Bonnie” Smith, and sister:  Vera Virginia McFarland.  He is survived by his sons:  Daryle Smith and wife Maurie, Russell Smith, and Timothy Smith and wife Dianne, brother:  Ned Harrison Smith, grandchildren:  Shannon Smith, Kristy Rougeou and husband Robert, Chris Smith, Timothy Lynn Smith, II, Lisa Smith, and Lee Ann Smith, great-grandchildren:  Dylan Rose Rougeou, Lilyana Rougeou, Dylan Elmore, Blake Smith, Weslee Smith, Kegan Smith, and Kayson Smith, numerous other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
