Robert Wade Horton, Sr., 84, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, in Houston.

Robert was born March 1, 1933, in Dallas, adopted by parents; Fred and Ovilia Woolrey Horton, a former resident of Dallas, and has resided in Baytown for the past 42 years.  He attended Robert E. Lee High School, was a graduate of Elkhart High School, and attended East Texas State University, where he received his Bachelor’s degree.  He was a veteran of the US Army with service during Korea, a retired operator, and attended the Episcopal church.  He also enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, hunting, tinkering, and collecting guns.

Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife:  Margaret King-Riggs Horton, son:  Robert Wade Horton, II, daughter:  Heather Harrill, brother:  Henry Lynn Horton, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
