Porter Lee Warren, Jr., 74, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, in Baytown.
Porter was born November 12, 1946 in Brinkley, Arkansas, to parents; Porter Lee, Sr. and Katherine Birch Warren, and a lifelong resident of Baytown. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, received his instrumentation certification from Lee College, was a retired instrumentation engineer at Exxon Baytown Olefins Plant and Bayer, and former owner of The Video Peddler and Rainbow Ticketmaster. Porter was also instrumental in developing the Baytown Girls Fastpitch Organization and coaching East and West little league baseball. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching sports including his Arkansas Razorbacks and Astros.
Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Loretta Warren. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Mary Jane LeBlanc Warren, son: Blake Warren and wife Robin, daughter: Kristina Smith and husband Jason, sister: Jakay Mason, brother: Terry Warren, grandchildren: Reese Warren, Brinley Smith, and Clayton Smith, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
