Peyton Kenneth Nerf, 21, of Baytown, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 21, 2022.
Peyton was born December 14, 2000, in Houston, Texas to parents Jennifer Callaway-Nerf and Robert Nerf, Jr. Peyton grew up playing baseball at North Little League and continued to play at Goose Creek Memorial High School. He attended Goose Creek CISD and was a 2019 graduate of Peter Hyland High School. Peyton found his calling in life when he started working for Goose Creek CISD as a Special Education Paraprofessional at E.F. Green Junior High. He enjoyed his job so much that he also spent this summer working for the ESY (extended school year) program at Bowie Elementary with elementary students with special needs. Everyone that worked with him would agree that he was naturally gifted and enjoyed going above and beyond when working with kids that faced extreme struggles and disabilities. He instinctively knew just what to do with his students. Peyton enjoyed playing World of Warcraft on his computer and was blessed with the talent of freestyle rap. He recently began collaborating and creating songs in a studio. You could tell Peyton any random word and he could instantly turn it into a rap. He loved being challenged with words by doing raps for his mom as they drove to work together daily. There were not many days that would go by when you would not see Peyton with a hoodie on his head, no matter the temperature.
Peyton was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Rosemary and Raymond Clement, TJ Callaway, Patricia Stone, Genevieve and Thomas Armstrong, Richard and Florence Nerf; stepbrother: Nathan McInnis; uncles: Ronny Smith, Kevin Moore, John Daughtry, Thomas Armstrong Jr.; aunt Peggy Moore; cousins: Melissa Gill, Tina Tilton, Amy Danielle Burnett and Kimberly Moore.
He is survived by his extremely large family that includes his mother, Jennifer Callaway-Nerf and father Robert Nerf, Jr and wife Cindy; siblings Nichole Nerf and Chance Nerf; grandparents Suzanne and Dave Alimena, Kenneth and Irene Callaway, and Eileen and Robert Nerf; aunts Laura Callaway, Kim Smith, Penny Callaway, Amanda Jenkins, Kristin Alimena, Tonya Ortiz, Anna Guidry and Tracy Coker; uncles Mike Nerf, Kenneth Callaway, Morgan Coker, Joe Smith, Dwayne Lowery and Heath Jenkins. He was extremely close to his cousins, Lexi Smith and Troy, Kayla and Clyde Tomlinson. His family also includes Thomas Waltman, Joe Benningfield, Liberty Perry as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers include Chance Nerf, Mike Nerf, Troy Tomlinson, Joe Benningfield, Joe Smith, Thomas Waltman, Kenneth Callaway, Nic Martinez, Justin Tarlton and Godfather, Rick Tarlton.
