Olga Leal Montemayor

Olga Leal Montemayor, 85, of Baytown, Texas, went home to her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family. Olga was born in La Paloma, Texas to parents Manuel and Irene Leal.

Olga was a loving wife and mother and spent her life as a homemaker.  She was a member of the Baytown Chapter of the Grandmother’s Club and a former hospice volunteer.  She enjoyed cooking and was known for her wonderful tamales and flour tortillas.  She loved to work in her yard and tend her flower garden.  But what she most enjoyed were those trips to the casinos with her friends and daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Irene Leal; husband, Sabino Montemayor; son, Rene Leal Montemayor; and brothers, Ramon, Jose, Manuel, and Carlos Leal.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Elizabeth Norwood and husband, William; Irene Adcox and husband, Jack; Noemi Hart and husband, David; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Rachel Cortez and husband, Jose Luis; brother Marcos Leal and wife Alicia; and brother Rene Leal.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to caregivers Sharon Bueller, Marie Blake, and Sequana Maeweather for the love and compassion shown to Olga and the family.

The family will welcome friends on Thursday, December 19 from 5 to 8 PM in the chapel of Crespo & Jirrels funeral home. A celebration of Olga’s life will be Friday, December 20 at 10 AM in the chapel of Crespo & Jirrels funeral home. Olga’s interment will immediately follow her funeral service at Memory Garden Cemetery.
