Nellie Ruth Henderson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 29, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Ruth was born on April 4, 1929 in Bryan , Texas to parents Henry and Emma Beal. Her family moved to the Baytown area where she met and married Twain L. Henderson (deceased). Ruth and Twain raised their family in Baytown while enjoying activities such as camping, fishing, hunting and raising beautiful gardens.

Ruth also had other interests such as ceramics, woodworking, volunteering to help the sick, and canning fruits and vegetables. Her favorites were fig preserves and mayhaw jelly.  Ruth also was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church in Baytown.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Twain Henderson, brothers Raymond Beal, Donald Beal, Robert Beal, and Morgan Beal, sisters Edwina Bonjo, Louise Hebron, and Doris Benner. She is survived by children Connie Owens of Baytown, Richard and wife Janice Henderson of Baytown, Michael and wife Pat Henderson of Channelview, grandchildren Dalton Owens, Kristen Henderson, Kyle Henderson, Karli Henderson, James Henderson, Suzanne Henderson, Amanda Free, Regina Bogar, and Cynthia Sanchez. Ruth also had 12 great grandchildren and 2 Great Great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday December 3rd from 6:00-8:00 PM at Crespo Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 4th at 10:00 AM also at Crespo Jirrels 6123 Garth Road Baytown Texas.

A special thank you to our friend Debbie Nailon with Traditions Home Health Care (Hospice), and to our friend Donna Valdez for being moms care taker. Both were very kind to mom and kept her comfortable.

Serving as pall bearers will be Dalton Owens , Kyle Henderson, Johnny Henderson, James Henderson, and Gary Marske.
