Nathan Leon Franks

Nathan Leon Franks, 42, of Liberty, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, in Beaumont.

Nathan was born May 5, 1979 in  LaGrange, to parents; Nathan Lon and Cathryn Brown Franks.  He was a graduate of Barbers Hill High School, received his associate degree from Lee College, was employed as an electrical inspector, and member of Old River Baptist Church.  Nathan also enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, and Notre Dame football.

Mr. Franks was preceded in death by his grandfather:  Big Pop Leon and grandmother:  Grandmother Jane.  He is survived by his wife of 18 years:  Christi Cole Franks, daughter:  Alexis Samples and husband Drake, sons:  Alexander Bujan, Nathan Leo Franks, and Nicholas Franks, parents:  Nathan Lon and Cathryn Franks, grandmother:  Nanny Gramy Rose, Poppi’s Precious:  Stella Samples and grandson;  Wesley Samples, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and of course his fur babies.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Old River Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Old River Baptist Church at 12948 FM-1409, Old River-Winfree, TX 77535, with services concluding thereafter.
