Moises M. Gonzalez, 90, of Baytown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in Baytown.

Moises was born September 4, 1931, in Linares Mexico, to parents; Manuel and Dolores Medina Gonzalez, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Baytown area since 1975.  He was a furniture maker in his early years and later in life, a retired carpenter, member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, participated in the church choir that he founded (Coro Alegria) as well as serving as coordinator alongside his wife to the Christian Family Movement (Movimiento Familiar Cristiano) and was a eucharist server. Moises also loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar, participated in many church activities, and helping his wife in the garden. Over the span of his 90 years, he has been extremely blessed to experience with his wife, world travels, witness his family grow into their senior years, participate and enjoy their grandchildren mark special occasions such as weddings, quinceañeras and countless birthday party events and family gatherings for the holidays.

Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings, and first born son:  Guadalupe "Lupito" Gonzalez.  He is survived by his wife of 68 years:  Eva Quezada Gonzalez, children: Moises Gonzalez, Jr., and wife Angelica, Chuy Gonzalez, and wife Mary, Sylvia Guerra, and husband Arturo, Alma Chavez, and husband Pascual, Eva Alicia Aguilar, Lolis Gomez, Manuel Gonzalez, and Jamie, Yolanda Chavez, and husband Javier, Jaime Gonzalez, and wife Irma, Rosa Nelly Ortega, and husband Luis, 32 grandkids, 43 great grandkids and 22 step grandkids.

Siblings: Adelita Gonzalez, Henrique Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez and wife Celia, Manuel Gonzalez and wife Leonor, Maria Luisa “Lola” Alvarez and husband Manuel, Roberto “Beto” Gonzalez and wife Maria, Jose “Pepe” Gonzalez and wife Ofelia, Salvador “Chavalo” Gonzalez and wife Dominga, Ruben Gonzalez and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary services at 6 p.m., Monday, April11, 2022 at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at he Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment following at Sterling White Cemetery in Highlands.

 

 

Moisés M. González, de 90 años, de Baytown, falleció pacíficamente el Miércoles 6 de Abril de 2022 en Baytown.

Moisés nació el 4 de Septiembre del año 1931, en Linares México, de padres; Manuel y Dolores Medina González, un ex residente de Houston, y ha residido en el área de Baytown desde 1975.  Fue fabricante de muebles en sus primeros años y más tarde en la vida, un carpintero jubilado, miembro de la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, participó en el coro de la iglesia que el mismo fundó (Coro Alegría), además de servir como coordinador junto a su esposa del Movimiento Familiar Cristiano y fue servidor de eucaristía. Moisés también amaba la música y disfrutaba tocando la guitarra, participando en muchas actividades de la iglesia y ayudando a su esposa en el jardín.  A lo largo de sus 90 años, ha sido extremadamente bendecido de experimentar con su esposa, viajes por el mundo, presenciar a su familia crecer en sus últimos años, participar y disfrutar de sus nietos en ocasiones especiales como bodas, quinceañeras e innumerables eventos de fiestas de cumpleaños y reuniones familiares para las fiestas navideñas.

El Sr. González fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres, todos sus hermanos, y hijo:  Guadalupe "Lupito" Gonzalez.  Le sobreviven su esposa de 68 años: Eva Quezada González, hijos: Moisés González, Jr., y su esposa Angélica, Chuy González, y su esposa Mary, Sylvia Guerra, y su esposo Arturo, Alma Chávez, y su esposo Pascual, Eva Alicia Aguilar, Lolis Gómez, Manuel González, y Jami, Yolanda Chávez, y su esposo Javier, Jaime González, y su esposa Irma, Rosa Nelly Ortega, y su esposo Luis, 32 nietos, 43 bisnietos y 22 nietos adoptivos.

Hermanos: Adelita González, Henrique González, Jesús González y su esposa Celia, Manuel González y su esposa Leonor, María Luisa "Lola" Álvarez y su esposo Manuel, Roberto "Beto" González y su esposa María, José "Pepe" González y su esposa Ofelia, Salvador "Chavalo" González y Wife Dominga, Rubén González y muchas sobrinas y sobrinos.

La familia recibirá a sus amigos de 5 p.m. a 8 p.m., con servicios de rosario a las 6 p.m., el Lunes 11 de Abril de 2022 en la Capilla de la Funeraria Crespo & Jirrels.  La Misa de Entierro Cristiano se llevará a cabo a las 10:30 a.m., el Martes 12 de Abril de 2022, en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe con entierro en el Cementerio Sterling White en Highlands.
