Marylein Bertrand Primeaux, 88, former long-time resident of Baytown, TX, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in Flower Mound, TX.
Mary was born December 10, 1933 in Crowley, Louisiana to parents Darmas and Mary Mae Hebert Bertrand. She was a homemaker and member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
Mary initially wanted to be a nun and went to convent in New Orleans. She said the experience enriched her faith. Her proudest moments in life were giving birth to her six children, watching them graduate, get married and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She loved to sew, read, work puzzles, watch movies with the family, and shop (especially for clothes!) Her family will always treasure how she wanted to look her best at all times, but her unconditional love and generosity were the most beautiful things about her.
Mrs. Primeaux was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Huey Primeaux, and sisters Tester Primeaux and Rena Fontenot. She is survived by her children Ricky (Evahleigh) Primeaux, Chris (Elaine) Primeaux, Melissa Pickens, Pam Cougot, David (Ann) Primeaux, and Lana (Wayne) Primeaux-Morton, her sister Eula Mae Smith, brothers Lee Bertrand and Mason Bertrand, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral services at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston.
