Marvin Lee Guy, 80, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019, in Baytown.
Marvin was born August 14, 1939 at the Humble Oil & Refining Hospital, to parents; T.H. “Pat” and Jessie Coker Guy, a lifelong resident of the Baytown area. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Sam Houston Teachers College and received his master’s degree from the University of Houston. Throughout his career, he worked as a teacher, coach, transportation director, and finally athletic director for GCCISD. Marvin also enjoyed traveling the US and overseas with his wife and family, attending Texans and Astros games, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Guy was preceded in death by his parents: T.H. “Pat” and Jessie Coker Guy, sister: Mary Guy, and daughter-in-law: Lisa Guy. He is survived by his wife: Carol Alley Guy, sons: Kevin Guy and wife Jana and Gary Guy and wife Tiffany, grandchildren: Allie Guy, Katie Guy, Zoe Guy, Oliver Guy, and Willie Guy, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2019, at the Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
