Marsha Ann Holt

On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, Marsha Ann Allen Holt, loving mother, Mimi, and grandmother; passed away peacefully at the age of 74.

Marsha was born December 1, 1944 in Amarillo, to parents; Ardell and Josie Faye Johnston Allen, and was the oldest of three children.  She married Larry Holt in 1969, adopted and raised April and Joe Holt together with three of her grandchildren; Caleb, Brianna, and Larry.  She was a graduate of Tascosa High School, working for ARCO during the summers while attending, hired full-time following graduation, and was employed for over 20 years as a secretary.  Marsha was then hired at ExxonMobil and was an asset to the Baytown Olefins Plant from 1987 to 2012; where she worked in the Safety department; maintaining fire team member certifications and scheduling training.  She was vital to the Defensive driving instructors and helped BOP achieve many safety milestones.  Marsha held memberships in the BOP Club for over 20 years, SecNet, and served on the Safety and Health Committee.  She had a passion for sewing, crocheting, and any way she could create.  She loved antiques, rustic jewelry, and was known to travel whenever the chance arrived.

Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her parents:  Ardell and Jose Johnston Allen, father of her children:  Larry Holt, and grandparents:  William Allen, Polly Blair, John Knox Johnston, and Callie Starr.  She is survived by her daughter:  April Holt, son:  Joseph Holt, grandchildren:  Caleb Holt, Brianna Lewis, and Larry Lewis, Jr., great-grandchildren:  Julianne Sims and Jazmine Perry, sister:  Kathie Allen, brother:  Kenneth Allen, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a celebration of life at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel in Baytown with services concluding thereafter.

As we celebrate the life of Marsha; all are encouraged to not wear black attire for the services.
