Marlene Cagan

Marlene Cagan was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.  Marlene died Monday, March 28, 2022, at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

Marlene was born May 24, 1958, in McBean Couva, Trinidad, to Eric Cagan and Elizabeth Ray Cagan.  Her family moved to St. Croix in the US. Virgin Islands in 1969 and then to Baytown, Texas where she resided for the past 25 years.  She was a graduate of Kings Hill Central High school, a retired pipefitter, and a faithful servant of Jehovah God.  Marlene was a spiritual person and enjoyed attending her Christian meetings at the local congregation of Jehovah Witnesses in Baytown.  She enjoyed sharing with others the wonderful Bible promises for the future.  She was a dedicated and self-sacrificing daughter.  She loved watching sports, eating out and sampling new foods, and spending time with her family and friends.  

She is survived by her daughter Winter Armesto and husband Stephen; her mother, Elizabeth Ray Cagan; her siblings, Linda Rawlins, Hollis Cagan, Junior Cagan, Maureen Cagan, Kelvin Cagan, Carl Cagan, Marilyn Ollivierre, Carol Greene, Madonna Henry, and Catherine Cagan-Brown, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Eric Cagan.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter
