Marisa Antoinette Forde

Marisa A. Mieux Forde, 54, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in Baytown. 

Marisa was born September 7, 1968 in Trinidad and Tobago, to parents; Rawle Maximin and June Mieux, and has resided in Baytown for the past 28 years.  She was a graduate of St. James secondary school, received her master’s degree from Phoenix University, and an owner and operator of her own retail business.  Marisa also enjoyed reading, meditation, and especially time with her grandchildren.   

Marisa lived a fruitful and blessed life, she lived in the "Goodness of God". Marisa touched the lives of many with her captivating beauty, her generosity, her exceptional organizational skills, her confidence and her strong leadership ability. Marisa's deep passion for beauty was evident in her appearance and deportment. Marisa was hardworking, ambitious and successful and had fully accomplished the purpose for which she was born.  Marisa recently moved on from the corporate world and ventured out to launch her own business, which was slated for success.

Marisa was blessed with numerous qualities, but none could have surpassed her unique ability to cause everyone to feel special. She genuinely cared and loved people, this was evident through her kind words, her generosity and her love for God. Marisa had a distinct personality, she was always thankful to both God and man, because she realized that she was blessed to be a blessing. This was a reflection of who she truly was!

Marisa was proud and especially passionate about her children and grandchildren with whom she loved to spend time. Marisa was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is now at home with her Lord and Savior.

Mrs. Forde was preceded in death by her parents and brother:  Ricky Mieux.  She is survived by her husband of 29 years:  Don Forde, children:  Marcus Mieux, Sassha Forde, and Aryel Forde, siblings:  Michelle, Marcelle, Cherrill, Judy, Wade, Rodney, Sheron, Jennifer, Roxanne, Nadine, grandchildren:  Aaliyah, Malik, Azalea, Aziah, Malayah, Maliyah, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.   

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
