Maria Ligaya Salute

Maria Ligaya Salute, of Baytown, passed away on October 28, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Maria was born on March 19, 1955 in Daram, Samar, Philippines.

Maria will be remembered for her love of shopping. It didn’t matter what she was shopping for; holidays, birthdays, or just to pass the time, it brought her great joy to buy things for others. She also enjoyed watching sports.  Some included, the Astros, the Rockets, and the Texans. Maria was also known for her love of karaoke. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for them. It didn’t matter if there were only five people over, she cooked as if there were fifty. She enjoyed spending hours tending to her vegetable garden, and cruising around town in her 1974 stingray Corvette.

 Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roque Salute; Daughters, Maria Luisa Hernandez (Lisa) and husband, John Mark, and Jessica Lynn Narvaez; Son, Jose Luis Narvaez Jr. (Joey) and wife, Dannie; grandchildren, Jerry Daniel Estrada II, Kayla Alysia Cisneros, Cameron Elaine Salazar, Anthony Lopez Cheyenne Thompson and Victoria Hernandez; her fur baby, Lucky Salute as well as numerous other family and friends.

The family will welcome friends for a visitation from 12pm - 4pm, November 1, 2019 in the chapel of Crespo and Jirrels funeral home, 6123 Garth Rd., Baytown, Tx., 77521.
