Maria De La Luz Partida

Maria De La Luz Partida, of Baytown, passed away on Wednesday October 23, 2019 in Houston. She was born to parents Bernardo and Maximina Palomo in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico.

Maria was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed listening to classic rock like the music from the Eagles, Journey, and America. Maria also enjoyed cooking. She made all her children and grandchildren feel extremely special on their birthdays and made sure to call everyone, just so she could sing to them. Family, along with God, was most important to her.  She enjoyed BBQ cookoffs with family and friends and watching the Astros. Maria will be missed but she will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.  Maria also enjoyed traveling to San Luis Potosi, Mexico twice a year to visit family.

Maria was preceded in death by her brothers, Lorenzo Palomo, and Francisco Palomo; and sister, Maria Juana Palomo De Gonzales. Maria is survived by her parents, her children, Carolina Rodriguez and husband Rigo, Julio Mora and wife, Bri, Jonathan Mora and wife, Melissa, Adriana Partida and Ruby Partida; grandchildren, Abram Rodriguez, Aleena Esquivel, Julian Mora, Sophie Mora, Brennen Williams, Christian Williams, Zachary Mora, Roman Mora, and Anthony Arguello; siblings, Guadalupe Rangel and husband, Juan, Francisco Palomo and wife, Maria De La Luz Velasquez Huerta, Roberto Palomo and wife, Lydia, Bernando Palomo and wife, Sara, Jose Luis Palomo and wife Berta, Gustavo Palomo, Guillermo Palomo, and Eduardo Palomo and wife, Edith.

The family will welcome friends from 5-8pm on Monday, October 28, 2019 for Maria’s visitation in the chapel of Crespo and Jirrels funeral home, 6123 Garth Rd., Baytown, Tx., 77521. Maria’s celebration of life will be at 12:30pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in the chapel of Crespo and Jirrels funeral home.
