Marguerite F. “Punkin” Park Powell, 96, of Baytown, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, in Baytown.
Punkin was born March 2, 1925 in Ostella, Tennessee, to parents; Haughty L. Eunice Cullum Park, and has resided in Baytown since 1963. She was a graduate of Marshall County High School, attended Lee College, was a retired nurse, and of the Church of Christ faith. She was a former member of the San Jacinto High Rollers and the Keenagers Bowling League. Mrs. Powell also enjoyed bowling, board games, and dancing.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Cecil Powell, Tommy Alford, and Geoffrey Parker, children: Everett, Frances, and Baby Boy Parker, great-grandchild: Cameron Arabie, and brothers: Lindell, Lovell, Will J., and Vernon L. Park. She is survived by her daughter: Ann Bray, son: Thomas Parker and wife Margie, daughter-in-law: Mary Parker, sister: Melba Hopkins, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment services will be held at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
