Margaret Louise LaForge, 91, of Austin, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at St. James House in Baytown, TX.
Margaret was born October 24, 1927 in Burnet, to parents William Virgil LaForge and Maggie Stapp LaForge. She resided in the Burnet/Austin area throughout her life. She was a graduate of Burnet High School, a retired clerical employee for the Texas state highway department, and a member of the Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, loved cats, and was known as the neighborhood mayor.
Ms. LaForge was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jared LaForge, sister Clara LaForge Cornelius, and niece Winnie “Jo” Cornelius Simmons. She is survived by her niece Dickie “Sue” Cornelius Brooks (Victoria, TX), nephew William “Bill” Cornelius (Marble Falls, TX), great-nieces Keleigh Brooks-Muska (Baytown, TX), Susan Brooks Fox (Galveston, TX), and numerous other relatives.
Graveside services will be held at noon, Saturday, December 29th, at the Burnet City Cemetery in Burnet.
