Manuela Garzoria

Manuela “Muni” Garzoria Cepeda, 48, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, at 4:48 p.m. Easter Sunday, at her residence after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Muni was born October 28, 1973 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico, to parents; Domingo Garzoria and Maria De La Luz Cepeda, a former resident of San Benito, and has resided in Baytown for the past 10 years.  She enjoyed singing, Tejano music, cooking, coloring, collecting decorative porcelain eggs, and her beloved pets, most recently Callie. She also loved the colors purple and pink. She was very active in social media, including TikTok and Live Me.

Muni had countless surgeries throughout her life, all of which she endured with dignity and strength. She was a fighter her entire life. She faced life with a smile, and that smile and her indomitable spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Maria De La Luz Garzoria and her niece Aliyah Garzoria, whom she lovingly called her “Shorty”.

Our beloved Muni is survived by her father:  Domingo Garzoria; siblings: Maria L. Garzoria (Schnebly), Delfina Garzoria, Debbie Garzoria (Garza), Domingo Garzoria Jr., Erika Garzoria, Jaime Garzoria, Mario Angel Garzoria, Ivan Garzoria, and Isael Garzoria; and step-daughter, Tabatha Fabian.

Muni loved her nieces and nephews, who included Vincent Saucedo and Antonio “Mikey” Arriaga III; Alexandra Garzoria, Christine Hernandez, and Amando Hernandez; LeRoy Zamora, Stephanie Zamora, Frankie Garza, Daniel Garza, Monica Garza and David Garza; Jose Vasquez, Kazzie Vasquez, Krysta Vasquez, Marcus Vasquez, and Angel Vasquez; Alyssa Garzoria and Jaime Garzoria Jr.; Jetta Marie Garzoria; Isael Garzoria, Jr.; and numerous extended family and friends.

We ask that anyone attending wear pink or purple in her honor.
