Lien Ritch Foubister

Lien Ritch Foubister, 80, of Baytown, TX passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022.  Lien was born in Paris, France to parents of Chinese and Vietnamese heritage, becoming a US citizen at the age of 16.  She enjoyed living in Baytown for the past 26 years. Lien was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.

Lien loved to travel to foreign lands; Africa, Europe, Jamaca, and her parent’s Asian homelands.  Her personal family history was extensive, and Lien loved sharing her heritage with her friends over a cup of coffee or a long lunch.

At age 17 Lien purchased her first real estate property and was bitten by the excitement of the real estate industry and became a self-made life-time entrepreneur.  Her strong sense of character, dedication to working hard, and passion combined to make her a success.

Lien showed her love through food.  She fed everyone who walked through her door, hungry or not.  Her passion for cooking and entertaining her friends was extraordinary.  At times it was hard to see the color of her countertops because she prepared so many delectable dishes. 

To her friends, Lien will be known for her generosity, kindness, and calmness.  She was the perfect confidant to share your troubles or your triumphs.  She will be dearly missed in the hearts of those that loved her.

Lien is survived by her husband Leon Reid “I will cherish you forever”.
