Leonard Lee Brown Jr

January 29, 1969 ~ September 2, 2021 (age 52) 52 Years Old

Tribute

Leonard Lee Brown, Jr., 52, of Beach City, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, in Baytown.

Leonard was born January 29, 1969 in Houston to parents; Leonard Lee, Sr. and Madeline Croce Brown. He grew up in Manvel and was a graduate of Alvin High School, received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake, employed as a Sales Consultant with K. Hovnanian Homes, and member of Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist Church.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his grandparents and father. He is survived by his wife of 18 years: Leisha Smith Brown, mother: Madeline Croce Brown (who has also recently passed away), brother: Robert Brown, parents-in-law: Bill and Charlotte Smith, sister-in-law: Paige Antonini, niece: Lindsey Antonini and husband Clym, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

To his family, Leonard was a loving husband, devoted son, and supportive son-in-law. He provided a strong foundation of faith and love, and when you were in need, he was in your corner. He possessed a heart of gold, and his sense of wonder and excitement was evidenced by his longing for adventure through global travel, his talent with flavorful cuisine, and his bright, cheerful fashion. He was the definition of a good man.

To his friends, he was the life of every party. No matter who he met, he made sure that they felt welcomed and included. There was always a wide smile on his face, and that radiant joy was catching. He wore his personality even in his fashion, favoring colorful ties, Robert Graham shirts, and crazy socks. He enjoyed fishing, football, and the Houston Astros. It was impossible to have a gloomy day when Leonard was around and you would be laughing at his corniest jokes before you knew it.

Even at work, his colleagues and clients became his friends. In every avenue of his career, he was respected and trusted. Leonard worked hard and played harder; his flashy costumes and wild antics were always larger-than-life, but for anyone who met him, they quickly learned Leonard embodied the meaning of fun.

To the Lord, Leonard remained a faithful servant. His love for God and all of His works gave Leonard a lighted path and a deeper purpose. Every day, he found strength in prayer and worship, studying the Word and practicing Christ’s selflessness by helping others around him. His incredible soul was called home too soon, but Leonard is now in his rightful place beside God. He will be forever missed by those he left behind until we can see him again in Heaven.
