Lauralyn "Sis" Denton

Lauralyn “Sis” Denton, 55, of Angleton, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in Sweeny.

Lauralyn was born April 27, 1966 in Houston, to parents; John Edward Denton and Katherine Sue McGowan, a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in Angleton for the past six years.  She was a graduate of Anahuac High School, received her nursing degree from San Jacinto Community College, was an ER nurse for the Sweeny Community Hospital, and former nurse for the Prude Ranch summer camp.  Lauralyn also enjoyed animals, reading, and holiday cooking.

Miss Denton was preceded in death by her father:  John Edward Denton, stepfather:  Harvey Simon, niece:  Briana Simon, and grandparents:  Katherine McGowan, Morris McGowan, N.C. Simon, and Doris Simon.  She is survived by her son:  Skylar Denton, brothers:  Brian Simon and wife Amanda and Steve Denton and wife Jamie, nieces and nephews:  Christopher Simon, Serenity Simon, Benjamin Simon, Amanda Jennings and husband Hayden, and Rachael Denton, numerous other relatives, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter.
