Kenneth Crawford

Kenneth “Sonny” Crawford, 90, of Crosby, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020, at his residence.

Kenneth was born July 18, 1929 in Buntyn, Tennessee to parents: Samuel Crawford and Donnie Mae Talley. As a child, he worked the cotton fields and only attended public school until the 6th grade. When he became of age, he joined the army and stationed at Camp Polk in Louisiana. He met his wife of 66 years at a church in Baytown, Texas. He worked for the City of Baytown for several years and once retired, he continued to work for Murph’s Turf Grass Farm.  For the past 35 years, he has resided in Crosby, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed telling jokes, wood-work, and building things for his grandchildren.

Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, parents, and great-grandson: Nathaniel Salas. He is survived by his children: son: Keith Crawford and wife Peggy, daughters: Darlene Salas and husband Edgard, Karla Lamy and husband Robert, Auba Duhon and husband Cliff, Kally Maine and husband Toney, grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives, and friends.

The family will welcome friends for a graveside service at 10AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd
Baytown, TX 77521.
