Tribute

Our beloved angel, Kellisha Shiquan Lauretta Livingston, affectionately known as "Kizzy," was called to her eternal home on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the age of 32. She had been a cherished resident of Baytown, Texas, for the past 13 years. Kizzy's life journey began on July 4th, 1991, in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, where she was born to her loving parents, Handel Livingston and Robin Hector. Spending her formative years in St. Croix, she graduated with honors from the St. Croix Educational Complex High School. Later, she obtained her associate degree in nursing from Lee College in Baytown, Texas, and was actively working towards her bachelor's degree until her passing.

Throughout her nursing career, Kizzy made a profound impact on the lives of her patients. She served as a charge nurse at St. James House in Baytown, Texas, where her compassionate care brought comfort and healing to those in need. Kizzy's dedication extended to Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena, Texas, where she left a lasting impression with her unwavering commitment to provide exceptional healthcare. For five years of her career, Kizzy also worked at Houston Methodist (Baytown), where she displayed remarkable resilience and adaptability. Despite facing her own health challenges, Kellisha found a way to continue making a positive impact on the lives of her patients. With determination and tenacity, she transitioned to working remotely from home as a registered nurse, ensuring that her compassionate care could reach those in need, even from a distance. Her ability to face adversity head-on and find alternative ways to continue her life's calling was truly inspiring.

Beyond her professional life, Kizzy found solace and expressed her faith through dance as a member and praise dancer at Harvest Time Deliverance Holiness Church. She not only loved attending church but also had a passion for inviting as many people as she could. With a vibrant and creative spirit, Kizzy always carried a coloring or puzzle book in her bag, ready to bring colors to life and create beautiful artwork. Her love for dancing, coloring, and solving puzzles reflected her zest for life and her ability to find joy in the simplest of activities.

Above all, Kizzy's greatest joy came from spending quality time with her cherished family and friends. She radiated warmth, love, and laughter, creating unforgettable memories with those she held dear. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, John James Hector, and grandmother, Yvonne Lauretta Scott. Her parents, Handel Livingston and Robin Hector, her beloved grandmother, Genevieve Hector, and her aunts, Cherilyn Hector, Gloria Freeman (Harvey Freeman (deceased)), Eloise Henry, Michelle Henry, Sharon Thomas, and uncles Dane Henry, Shawn Henry, Glenroy Williams (deceased), Cherridy Hector, Jeffrey Hector (Chavonne Hector), and Rawle King (Antoinette King) provided her with guidance, love, and support throughout her life. Kizzy also leaves behind a large and loving circle of friends and family, all of whom were touched by her kindness, compassion, and genuine spirit. Together, they formed a tight-knit community of support, sharing countless cherished memories with Kizzy.

To honor and celebrate Kellisha's extraordinary life, a viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Harvest Time Deliverance Holiness Church in Baytown, Texas. A funeral service, filled with love and remembrance, will follow at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Cedar Crest Cemetery, where her spirit will find eternal peace. Following the burial, a repass will take place at the Marriott Springhill Suites in Baytown, Texas, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share cherished memories, and support one another during this difficult time.

Kizzy's legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to helping others will continue to inspire us all. As we bid farewell to our dear angel, let us carry her spirit of compassion and strength within us, knowing that she made a profound impact on countless lives and left an indelible mark on our hearts.
