Kelli Dawn Ray, age 53, of Crosby, lost her battle with cancer the evening of September 9, 2017. She was born in Houston on March 10, 1964 to Durward N. Jeffers of Tomball and Lyna Stephenson of Mont Belvieu. Kelli was known for her kind-heart, selfless nature, genuine compassion, and unconditional love for her family and friends. Her hobbies include singing, crafts, coordinating family functions and, most importantly, spending time with her family. The love she gave her family and friends, especially her sons and grandchildren, is an unmeasurable love. She truly lived life to the fullest and her family describes her as “the glue that kept the family together, and the rock that made the family strong.” Her ability to reach people in a positive way has left powerful imprints on countless hearts. She is survived by her father, Durward N. Jeffers, mother, Lyna Stephenson, husband, Aaron Ray, sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Brandy Ray and Corey and Jessica Ray, brother, Duke Jeffers, sister, Shana McCauley, father and mother-in-law, Rich and Martha Naugle, grandchildren, Anthony and Anna Rendon, Nathan Rushing, Faith Thompson, AJ, Isabella, and Ava Ray and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Kelli is preceded in death by her grandparents, Florence L. Book, Dewey and Dorothy Goodson and father-in-law, Don Ray. Kelli’s friends and relatives are invited to the MercyGate church located at 9627 Eagle Dr. Mont Belvieu, TX 77523 on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11AM to celebrate her life.
