Kathleen Ann "Katy" Smith Ehlers

Kathleen Ann “Katy” Smith Ehlers, 73, of Liberty, passed away at her residence.

Katy was born July 23, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York, and a former resident of Baytown, Tx; To parents; William and Rose Marie Smith. She was a catholic school graduate and a retired accountant.  Katy also enjoyed playing bingo, reading, working crossword puzzles, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Ehlers was preceded in death by her parents, husband:  Harold John Ehlers, sister:  Rose Marie Wikstrom, and grandchild:  Cullin Broussard.  She is survived by her children:  Christine Broussard and husband Christopher, Johnny Ehlers, and Robert Ehlers, siblings: Tommy Smith and Margaret Scotti, brother-in-law:  Frankie Scotti, grandchildren:  Krystal Martinez, Jason Lay, Aron Ehlers and wife Ashley, Kalissa Ehlers, and Christopher Broussard and companion Cassie Myers, great-grandchildren:  Cheyanne Ballard, Cherilyn Martinez, Chayne Martinez, Alexa Lay, and Angel Lay, one great great-grandchild:  Culynn Broussard, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel in Baytown.
