Julia Rivas Garcia

Julia Rivas Garcia, 81, of Baytown, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, in Baytown.

Julia was born April 16, 1940 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to parents; Fermin and Enriqueta Mendoza Rivas, a former resident of Santa Maria Texas and has resided in Baytown for the past 30 years.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and especially spending time with her family.

Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers:  Jesus and Daniel Rivas, and grandson:  Manuel Garcia.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years:  Ciro G. Garcia, daughters:  Cornelia G. Vargas ( Eleazar )and Christina G. Perales ( Gil ), sons:  Oscar Garcia, Olegario Garcia ( Maria ), Omar Garcia (Alma) , and Hormandin Garcia ( Minerva), sisters:  Lucinda Sauceda and Emma Gomez, brothers:  Mariano Rivas, Maximo Rivas, and Jose Rivas, 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
