Judith “Judy” Ann Flemings Walker peacefully transitioned from her earthly home to eternal rest on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at the age of 77. Judith was born in Algiers, LA on Dec. 21, 1939 to John Flemings Sr. and Elvina Thymes Flemings. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age.

Judy grew up in Algiers, LA and graduated from L. B. Landry Senior High School in 1957. As a student, she was a Buccanette. After high school Judy married the love of her life, Willie Walker Jr. Together they resided in Harvey, LA where they spent most of their adult lives. They were married for 60 years and had five sons: Willie Walker III, Terrell Walker Sr., Wayne Walker, Duronne Walker Sr. and Tito Walker.

She was a successful business owner before retiring. Judy was known for her witty behavior and funny comebacks. She also enjoyed shopping and was well-known for being stylish and having a flair for fashion. In addition, Judy loved going to the casino and traveling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.

Due to Hurricane Katrina, Willie and Judy relocated to Baytown, TX where they became members of Living Hope Church of God. Judy lived a long and happy life before she was called home. She impacted all that knew her and will be missed dearly.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents John Flemings Sr. and Elvina Thymes Flemings; her son, Wayne Walker; and brothers, John Flemings Jr., and Roland Flemings.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Walker Jr., their sons: Willie Walker III (Debbie), Terrell Walker Sr. (Michelle), Dr. Duronne Walker and Tito Walker (Nia); sister, Elder Eartha Carter; grandchildren: LaToya Walker White (Herman), TaKecia Clark, Shawnta Walker DuBois (Lamont), Terrell Walker Jr., Byron Hadley Jr., Monique Walker Lyons, Danielle Walker Smith (Alfred), Trevell Walker Cason (Antonio), Raiven Walker, Joesph Worley, Tia Walker, Kennedi Walker, Asya Walker, Teja Walker and Duronne Walker Jr. Lastly, she was preceded by 17 her great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2017, at the Living Hope Church of Baytown.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Westlawn memorial Park in Gretna, Louisiana.

Dear Family and Friends a Home Going Memorial Service for Judith Ann Walker will be held in New Orleans LA at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church 1017 Elmira Street in Algiers, LA beginning at 11:00 am Saturday December 9, 2017 immediately following the Memorial Service a Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA
