Juan Manuel Navarro, Sr., 67, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at his residence.
Juan was born November 6, 1955, in Mexico to parents; Juan G. Navarro and Angela Campos. Juan was a former resident of McAllen and has resided in Baytown for the past 47 years. He attended Texas A&M University to receive certification while employed with the City of Baytown. Juan retired after 25 years of public service from the City of Baytown Water Department as a foreman. Juan enjoyed playing pool, fishing, hanging out with family and friends. However, his true passion was singing norteña music and playing his musical instruments, like his guitar.
Mr. Navarro was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Silvia Navarro, daughters: Veronica & Nereida Navarro, son: Juan M. Navarro, Jr., daughter-in-law: Jessica Navarro., son in law: Daniel Lopez, sisters: Maria Del Refugio, Gloria, & Rosa Elia Navarro, brothers: Domingo, Jose Luis & Pedro Navarro, grandchildren: Osvaldo, Jr., Delilah & Matthew Banda; Gerardo, Isela & Gabriel Gaytan, Gabriella & Marco Sanchez., Nathan & Juan Navarro III. Great Grandchildren: Malachi & Elias Sanchez; Eli & Marcos Gaytan, nieces: Griselda, Erica, Marisol & Aida Cuevas, nephews: Sergio & Agustine Cuevas; among other numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m., February 10, 2023, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
