Jose Luis Lopez, 67, of Baytown, passed away on June 14, 2017.  He was born in Mexico to Guillermo Lopez Leal and Esther Gonzalez Lopez on August 25, 1949. On June 11, 1976, Jose married the love of his life, Estela. Mr. Lopez loved baseball and enjoyed sports in general.  He was devoted to his family and loved the time he spent with the family. A member of the Catholic church, Mr. Lopez was a respected and humble man who was a very hard worker with Mundy Company as contractor with Exxon.

Mr. Lopez is preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo Lopez Leal and Esther Gonzalez Lopez. 

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Estela Lopez; son, Jose Luis Lopez, and wife Araceli Ochoa; daughters, Leslie Lopez, and Esthela Lopez, and husband Hector Tobias; grandchildren, Andrew N. Tobias, Abigail E. Tobias, Alexis N. Lopez, and Jessica E. Lopez; brothers, Guillermo “Willie” Lopez, Juan Manuel Lopez; and sister Nora Esther Lopez Gonzalez.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday June 16, 2017, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home.  A funeral rite will be held Saturday June 17, 2017 at 10am at Crespo & Jirrels chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Jose Luis Lopez, Hector Tobias, Andrew N. Tobias, Jesus Gonzalez, Sergio Gonzalez, and Ivan Gonzalez.
