Joan "Treasa" Derrett

Joan Treasa Derrett, age 67, of Baytown, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Rollingbrook Rehab & Health Center in Baytown. She was born May 21, 1952 in Baytown to Lee and Stella Shugart.

She was a lifelong resident of Baytown. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and retired from Goose Creek Consolidated School District after 21 years of service as Cafeteria Supervisor at Robert E Lee and Crockett Elementary. Besides spending time with her family and friends she enjoyed cooking, crafting, and quilting. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death my her parents Lee & Stella Shugart; son Jason Derrett; siblings: Charles Shugart, Peggy Langston, Thomas Shugart, and Mary Lee Mayfield.

She is survived by her son, Alan Derrett & wife Annalissa; daughter, Mindi Purdy & husband Alex; brother James Shugart & wife Maria; grandchildren Cody Dunlap, Jadin Purdy, Colten Purdy, Addison Derrett, Jase Derrett, Mathew Esparza, Gina Montelongo, Gabby Montelongo, and lifelong friend Cynthia Sullivan, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

There will only be a private viewing for family. However, The family will be having a "Celebration of Life" for family and friends from 3:00 - 5:00 pm on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 203 Post Oak Baytown, Texas. For directions and information please call 281-380-3879
