James Byron Dufour

James Byron Dufour, 39, of Baytown, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, in Baytown, Texas.

James was born November 23, 1981 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Andrew Paul and Jill Weber Dufour and was baptized at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church.  He was raised in Richmond, Texas and graduated from B.F. Terry High School.  James attended the University of Houston and was a journeyman electrician.  He was a former resident of Crosby, and has resided in the Baytown area for the past eight years.  James enjoyed playing golf, fishing with his family and hunting with his son and family.

Mr. Dufour was preceded in death by his father, Andrew P. Dufour, and maternal grandparents, James A. and Glora R. Weber, and paternal grandfather, John Byron Dufour.  He is survived by his wife and partner of 18 years, Jennifer Wyatt Dufour, daughters, Amber Wyatt and Hailey Dufour, and son, Aiden Dufour, of Baytown; mother, Jill Dufour of Rosenberg, sisters, Allison McDearman and husband Brad of Cypress,  and Anne Kelley and husband Casey of Richmond, paternal grandmother, Roberta Dufour of Port Neches, mother-in-law, Sherri Sharry of Baytown; sisters-in-law, Suzanne English and husband Andrew, Nikki Wyatt, of Baytown, brothers-in-law, Frank Howell and Brian Howell; Aunt:  Kay McBeath and husband Dexter of Lumberton; uncles, Scott Dufour, John Dufour and wife Janice of Richmond; nieces and nephews:  Andrew, Case, Grace, and Kadence, and numerous other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers are: Brad McDearman, Casey Kelley, Darren Dufour, Jared Dufour, Jimmy Rogers, and Mike Ward.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter.
