Jacqueline “Jackie” Blachuta Baker, 85, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in Baytown.
Jackie was born March 29, 1938 in Ostricourt, France, to parents; Antonio and Ire Klement Blachuta, and has resided in Baytown for the past 65 years. She graduated high school in France, a former seamstress, and member of Cedar Bayou Grace. Jackie also enjoyed gardening, crafts, puzzles, was an avid hunter, and huge fan of the Astros.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents, father of her children; J.D. Alexander, husband: Robert “Bob” Baker, brother: Daniel Blachuta, stepdaughter: Phyllis Ewell, stepson: Ricky Baker, and great-grandson: Joshua Ewell. She is survived by her sons: Jerry Alexander and wife Connie and Alan Alexander and wife Melanie, sister: Lydia Martindarnal and husband Alain, son-in-law: Ronnie Ewell, brother-in-law: Don Baker and wife Carolyn, grandchildren: Dallas Alexander, Jacqueline Bohannon, James Smith, Amanda Garoufalias, Alan Alexander, Jr., Derek O’Hare, Allison Ewell, Jason Ewell, Tammy Baker, and Ryan Baker, numerous great and great great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of The Waterford, Traditions Hospice, and Visiting Angels for their care of Jackie.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
