Jeanette Meshell Ducrepont

Jeanette Meshell Ducrepont, 80, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at her residence.

Jeanette was born June 19, 1940 in Zwolle, Louisiana, to parents; John and Gustava Leone Meshell, a former resident of Northshore, and has resided in Baytown for the past 12 years.  She was an administrator for S & B Construction, member of the Cajun French Music Association, and was Lutheran by faith.  Jeanette also enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards, gardening, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Ducrepont was preceded in death by her parents, sons:  Noah Ducrepont, Jr. and Craig Ducrepont, and sister:  Lucille Meshell.  She is survived by her husband of 40 years:  Noah Ducrepont, daughters:  Connie Burton, Phyllis Stephens, Kendra McKernan and husband John, and Lillie Avant and husband Stewart, son:  Wesley Stephens, Jr., sister:  Aline Hendon and husband David, brothers:  Pat Meshell and wife Connie and Larry Meshell and wife Glynda, sister and brothers-in-law:  Marcel Chelatte, Alberta and James Hammond, and Jimmy and Janice Ducrepont, grandchildren:  Tim Bowden, Stephen Burton, Josh Bowden, Justin King, Krista Reed, Mathew King, Brittany Jones, John Jones, Durham Avant, Wesley Stephens, III, Alyssa Stephens, Michael Avant, and Libby Nicolette, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
