Isaac S. “Ike” Ybarra, 87, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at his residence.
Ike was born April 17, 1935 in Wheelock, Tx. to parents; Ignacio and Delfina Sustaita Ybarra, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Highlands for the past 52 years. He was a retired welder from Brown & Root, and served his country as a paratrooper for the US Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Ybarra was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Jose Ines Ybarra. He is survived by his wife: Angelina V. Ybarra, son: Isaac Tyrone Ybarra, daughter: Jessica Y. Sanchez and husband Rudy, grandchildren: Marti S. Zarate and James Kasper, Isaias Sanchez and Genia, Jessica Brown, Isaac T. Ybarra, Jr., Ezequiel Sanchez, Lori and Alonso Garza . Ten great-grandchildren: Enrique, Joel, and Katelyn Zarate, Kacie Kasper, Aiden and Trep Sanchez, Jackie Guardiola, Angela Aguilera, Arthur Aguilera ,Lillian Carroll ,sister: Irene Arrendondo, brothers: Israel Ybarra, Ignacio Ybarra, Jr. and wife Sueko, Jesse Ybarra and wife Donna, and Joe Ybarra, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel in Baytown, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Wheelock Cemetery in Hearne, Texas.
