February 21, 1956 ~ January 26, 2021 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Tribute

Iris Theresa “Auntie Madeo” Pierre, 64, of Baytown, Texas, slipped into Jesus’s loving arms on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was born on February 21, 1956, in Momma Cannes, St. Andrew, Grenada, West Indies, to the late Harold Gabriel Pierre and Elenore Nelson Pierre. Iris was a faithful member of The Sanctuary Pentecostal Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas. She spent her days in the hospitality field where she was able to assist others who came to stay at Best Western Executive Residence.

Auntie Medo was an independent person who pursued many interests, some of which included cooking. She was a selfless woman who found such joy in serving her family some of her delicious dishes. Iris got pleasure from staying in the background and watching them as they ate. It was a rare occasion for someone to come over and there not already be prepared food in the fridge. Her greatest treasure in life was spending precious time with her family. She was immensely proud of every single one of them and the accomplishments they had made in their lives.

Iris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, Auntie and friend to many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter Celeste Bianca Edwards; her siblings Ethel Noelle, Dorien Pierre, Millicent Pierre, Cecil Pierre; her nephew Sim Anthony Pierre; her brothers-in-law Glenroy Anthony Jones, Denzel Fletcher and Renrick Bedau. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her beloved sons Patrick Edwards and wife Stefanie of McComb, Mississippi, Timothy Edwards and girlfriend Melissa Broomer of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Godson Benjamin of Baytown, Texas; her grandchildren Caleb Edwards of McComb, Mississippi, Zeleika Edwards of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her siblings Lucy Fletcher of West Palm Beach, Florida, Monica Nelson of Baytown, Texas, Davis Pierre and wife Monica Malcom of Miami, Florida, Jacelyn Pierre of Miami, Florida, Eddie Pierre of Grenada, West Indies, Jane Pierre of Grenada, West Indies, numerous nieces, nephews, an extended family of coworkers, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
