Irene Rodriguez Esquivel, 79, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at her residence.
Irene was born March 17, 1941 in Baytown, to parents; Francisco and Petra Oviedo Rodriguez, and has been a lifelong resident of Baytown. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Beautician School, a former hairstylist and homemaker. Irene held memberships in Out Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. She also enjoyed coloring, sewing, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Esquivel was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Jose F. Esquivel, and sister: Loretta Rodriguez. She is survived by her children: Lynette Cardona and husband Roel, Jose F. Esquivel, Jr., Daniela Buckner and husband Mike, Becky Nichols and husband David, and Kenny Esquivel and wife Lindsay, brothers: David Rodriguez and wife Alma, Luis Rey Rodriguez, and Joseph Rodriguez and Lucy, sister: Anna Puente and husband Henry, grandchildren: Kimberly, Klay, and Sariah Cardona, Alex and Drew Buckner, Kassie Watson, Madison and Justin Nichols, and Tori Miller and husband Justin, great-grandchildren: Jaci Keith, Ismael Gonzalez, IV, Kirstin, Zoie, and Hadlee Miller, caregiver: Nadia Alvarado, her beloved fur baby: Josie, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
