"I.G." Ignacio Guadalupe Hernandez

Ignacio “Lupe” Guadalupe Hernandez, 73, of Baytown, passed away on May 17, 2020. He was born in Raymondville, Tx. on July 31, 1946 to parents Tomas and Genoveva Hernandez. I.G. enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing pool, and barbecuing with family when his health allowed. He worked in the Petro Chemical field as a pipefitter and a fabricator. In more recent days, he would pass the time by visiting with his daughter, watching wrestling and he loved the History channel.

I.G. was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Hernandez; sisters, Cecilia Gutierrez and Geneva Galicia; brother Rafael Hernandez. I.G. is survived by his daughter, Diana Johns and husband, Darryl; grandchildren, Ami Morris, and husband, Hunter, Ashley Garza and husband, Roland, Andrew Johns, Abigail Johns, Ciriaco “Bobby” Balmaceda Sr. and wife, Marissa Bonilla; and Venessa Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Liam Morris, Ciriaco Balmaceda Jr., and Avellana Balmaceda; lifelong friend, Bobbie Hernandez; brothers, Israel Hernandez, Noe Hernandez, and Tomas Hernandez as well as numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friend for a graveside service at 1 pm at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77520.
